Pembelajaran IPA Terpadu Berbasis Tematik Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Karakter Siswa di SMP Al Madina 1 Nabire

Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis tematik mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis dan karakteristik siswa. Kelompok prates-posttes yang dirancang terdiri dari 30 siswa dari salah satu SMP Al Madina 1 Nabire, Papua. Untuk pengambilan sampel, metode purposive sampling digunakan. Data tentang keterampilan berpikir kritis dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test, sedangkan karakter siswa dikumpulkan melalui angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis tematik, dengan N-gain sebesar 0,52. Sepuluh siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai terendah untuk aspek kepedulian lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis tematik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan karakter siswa SMP kelas VII. Model TISL juga meningkatkan sifat siswa seperti takwa, jujur, kerja keras, disiplin, tanggung jawab, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, komunikasi, kerja sama, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan
