Analisis Makna Pesan Self Love dalam Lirik Lagu “Answer: Love Myself” Karya Bangtan Sonyeondan (Analisis Semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure)

Urgensi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya mengungkap pesan self love dalam lirik lagu sebagai bentuk komunikasi mengenai penerimaan diri dan kesehatan mental melalui budaya populer. Penelitian ini menganalisis makna pesan self love dalam lirik lagu “Answer: Love Myself” karya Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan makna pesan self love dalam lirik lagu; (2) mengkaji hubungan antara signifier (penanda) dan signified (petanda); serta (3) menganalisis struktur penanda dan petanda yang membangun konsep self love. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis dokumen dan analisis isi. Sumber data berupa teks lirik lagu dalam bahasa Korea beserta terjemahan yang telah diverifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesan self love dibangun melalui lima tahapan progresif, yaitu kesadaran diri, pengakuan terhadap luka batin, pengampunan terhadap diri sendiri, harapan untuk berubah, dan afirmasi diri. Ditemukan lima jenis hubungan antara penanda dan petanda, yaitu hubungan simbolik, reflektif, prosesual, temporal, dan afirmatif. Struktur penanda dan petanda membentuk enam unit tanda yang saling berkaitan, yang secara keseluruhan membangun konsep self love sebagai proses psikologis yang berkelanjutan dalam menerima diri secara utuh, termasuk kekurangan, luka, dan kekuatan yang dimiliki. Self love dalam lagu ini diposisikan bukan sebagai bentuk narsisme, melainkan sebagai landasan psikologis dalam pembentukan identitas dan menjalani kehidupan yang bermakna. Penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan kajian semiotika musik dan sastra populer, khususnya dalam mengkaji bagaimana pesan kesehatan mental dikonstruksi melalui bahasa simbolik dalam budaya populer kontemporer.
