Mengkaji Modal Sosial Bagi Masyarakat Perkotaan di Tengah Pandemi Covid-19 Melalui Gotong Royong Digital

Covid 19 menyerang seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia dalam skala global. Pemerintah Indonesia menerapkan kebijakan yang disebut Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar untuk mengurangi penularan. Mobilitas orang secara otomatis berubah karena ini pembatasan, khususnya di daerah perkotaan di Indonesia. Karena mobilisasi individu yang tinggi biasanya harus dibatasi, masyarakat perkotaan lebih cepat terpengaruh. Meski dengan kondisi yang masih menyisakan banyak pekerjaan rumah struktural terbebani oleh negara, kepedulian terhadap masyarakat perkotaan perlahan tumbuh dengan bahu-membahu melawan Covid-19 pandemi di Indonesia. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat secara kritis bagaimana masyarakat perkotaan menghadapi Covid-19 melalui gotong royong digital kerjasama (gotong royong) yang sering terjadi dalam perspektif modal sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial bekerja seperti “jangkar” di kegiatan gotong royong digital. Tiga aspek yaitu jaringan, kepercayaan, dan nilai dan norma adalah terjalin dalam modal sosial. Temuan penelitian ini memiliki konsekuensi untuk studi modal sosial, yang harus diperiksa lebih lanjut dalam rangka penanganan COVID-19 pandemi. Kesimpulan yang signifikan adalah bahwa pemetaan modal sosial yang sudah berlangsung di perkotaan lingkungan sekarang meluas melalui digital media juga. Saat kegiatan gotong royong dilakukan secara digital, resonansi lebih tinggi dan cakupannya lebih luas dibandingkan ketika kegiatan tersebut dilakukan secara offline
